About Mr. Dumais

This is Mr. Dumais' 38th year in education. He began teaching at Gilford High School in the Fall of 1979 after graduating from Plymouth State College. During that first year he taught math and science and one year later became the school district's first computer science teacher, teaching BASIC programming on the school's TRS-80, Model I Computers. He taught the school's first AP Computer Science Course in 1985 and later became the school's computer coordinator.
 
Mr. Dumais obtained his Master's Degree in Computer Science Education at Plymouth State College in 1992 and was hired as the Inter-Lakes School District's Technology Coordinator in the summer of 1994. In the fall of 2003 he returned to the classroom and was hired as the Math Academic Coordinator and math teacher for Kingswood Regional High School. Mr. Dumais returned to Gilford High School in the fall of 2005 as a math and computer science instructor and has been the Math Department Team Leader for the last five years. He is also co-advisor to the GHS Math Team.
 
Mr. Dumais is an adjunct instructor at Lakes Region Community College and is an online math instructor for VLACS (Virtual Learning Academy Charter School). He was Vice-President of NHSTE from 1993-2001 and was the NHSTE/ISTE Affiliate Representative from 1995-2005. 

Mr. Dumais is a high school volleyball official and is the volleyball assignor for the NHIAA. In 2015 he was inducted into the John R. Clark NH Officials' Hall of Fame. He was involved with the Nor'Easter Softball program from 2000 to 2012 and served as the tournament director of the Lakes Region's Nor'Easter Softball Classic for ten years.
